What is Meteopool?
Meteopool has been providing up to date weather charts with a focus on weather & severe weather information for the public as well as the hobby "storm chasing" since 2004 (official start: 4th September 2004). Since day 1, we have presented the current weather radar (also called rain radar/precipitation radar) in adjustable colors. Over the years more content was added, e.g. lightning detection, weather webcams and weather station reports. Our own claim has always been to offer the most flexible, customizable live map possible and to include free as well as community-driven content. Today, we offer our visitors almost instantaneous retrieval of the offered weather data, which is constantly updated, and a dynamic weather map that can be accessed on any internet-enabled device in the world - from smartwatches to car computers to large screens in rescue control centers (fire fighters, emergencys services), our software is used today.
Milestones:
- Q3/2004 - Foundation, project name "FsR" (Read more about that at our Patreon page)
- 07/19/2012 - End of data processing of private weather stations

Why are there advertisements at the webpage?
The advertisement on Meteopool is used for paying the server devices and other investments for the administration of such a project. This makes the free access to the project contenct possible. During thunderstorms, requests to the server are sent within seconds. It may be necessary to upgrade the hardware, which we pay by advertisements.
You can also "donate" for us and support us, so we can set up less advertisements.
